A healthy, strong, and vital relationship is based on communication: speaking, listening, and understanding.
What are your priorities, the things that govern your life?? Is prayer and studying the word of God at the top of your list? Often time we become overwhelmed with our day-to-day life that we neglect much need intimate time with God. We must build our relationship with God, by reading and studying his word! How can we claim the things of God without knowing him, and how can we speak things in our lives if we don't know what he has spoken for our life. John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" the word of God cleanes us and convicts our heart. When we come in the presence of the Lord, change should take place. When we read his word the Holy Spirit is working out the "issues of our heart" so when God begins to speak we are able to hear and obey. Reading the word of God builds our faith in God, and "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"-Rm 10:17

As You Begin- Summary
"It is through prayer that you and I communicate with our heavenly Father!"
Christianity isn't a religion, it's a relationship. The only way to build a relationship is through communication. We must go behind the veil and communicate daily with God. As issues arise daily in our lives, we must consult the God of wisdom to reveal the "next step", the path we should take. We all have daily question, that we desire to know, that is where pray comes in, we can find the answers to those question in the Word of God and through prayer.
